Personal rants and raves

Been so busy that I messed up the other day, thank God that I managed to renew the domain. Phew… so yeah the site is back and I’m happy.

I guess…..

So what if I renew, I still have no idea on the direction of this website and what I want to do with it. Sigh…

Say hello to the latest video by Wong Fu Productions. They this video for David Choi, a talented musician and song writer. Love this song even as it brings out what I feel about life at the moment. This is worth a listen so just chill a little and enjoy the song.

67 words was what it took me to rise from zero to hero and now I’ll soon be presented with a kick a** Razer Onza for me to frag more (I hope) and just in time for Gears of War 3 *grins*. Oh wait it’s not just an Onza it is the TOURNAMENT EDITION we’re talking about!

Check out my post here @ Nizam’s Space

Lot of things happened during this period and I’ve not been posting anything on this site, perhaps I need to reorganise my life a little so that I know what the heck I intend to blog about.

I’ve pretty much left the Anime scene and the boxes of collectables are stacking up in my cupboard taking up precious space.

I’ve also just exited a long relationship and well I’m not sure if this is for the better or worse but well I guess I really need to move on in my life.

So with this effing post I shall declare that I will start on publishing more information for those who actually read my blog.

So here is to the loves of my life and to those who love me in return, I’m gonna make the best of the year.

End of one term of API, this round I have already handed in all I have to hand in, all the Book Reviews, the Paper, etc. It has been a fulfilling 10 weeks of needless discipline and training. Well at least I think I have grown, a little in the Lord this semester.

Just wanna thank those in my class who have been really supportive and always so encouraging to me. I apologize for being rather bad in preparing for the group presentations, think too much already so end up always late. Lets have a good dinner tomorrow and enjoy each the company of one another.

New term starting so it’s time to let go of the relaxing spirit and piah again, this round I’m taking Evangelism and I’m praying that I’ll be able to do my best.

Ever so often we forget about the real world around us as we immerse ourselves in a digital world. Even with modernization, it has lead to some animal species to become endangered due to environmental changes, human activities and development. Even with efforts to save these animals, this is continually becoming a challenging task as we humans continue to urbanize the environment.

One such endangered species is the Orang Utan. Ah Meng a female Orang Utan has been the Icon of the Singapore Zoo till 2008 and is remembered by many for her friendliness. However her species the Sumatran Orangutan is facing extinction due to illegal logging and poaching and only 7500 species remain in existence.

Tord Boontje a renowned industrial engineer, well known for his whimsical weaves of floral and endangered animals has tied up with HP to even immortalize these fast vanishing creatures on the new HP mini-note. What’s more in view of the environment the mini-note spots a mercury-free LED backlit display and comes in a 100% recyclable packaging.

Those who wish can check out this wonderful art-piece and is available for sale at you local HP retailers.

I’m really bogged down with quite a fair bit of work and find little time to actually update my blog, so it’s all about discipline. I’m finding ways and means to see how I can get some of the stuff I post on facebook and twitter to aggregate to the site. Thinks it will be useful, heard about ping.fm and some sites that may help with this.

Feeling rather tired, perhaps I should open up more if not there will not be much interesting stuff on this blog or perhaps. Anyway I’ll just continue ranting away so just enjoy.

Oh and also did I mention that I’m still on Nokia Zone, so check it out…

Bruce Willis plays a cop who is throw into an investigation when real people get murdered! A Sci-Fi thriller depicting the future where people stay in the comfort of their own homes and get surrogates to replace them in real life, shielding humans from danger, viruses and other risks. All that has to be done is to stay home, plug in and experience life!

So if I were to have a surrogate, I guess I want to know how it would be like to be famous, someone who people look up to and experience the lime light for a while. Perhaps a race car driver would be great, as I can also experience the trill of driving fast without the need of actually risking my actual life.

It’s been a while and yeah, I’ve been pretty occupied with Gears of War 2 but a new game is coming to town and it’s Ninja Blade here are my top 5 reasons I want the game!
  1. Beautifully rendered battle sequences (real time rendering glory)
  2. Monsters! Can’t get enough to slicing and dicing em up in close combat (think Ninja Gaiden II)
  3. Action button interactivity during video sequences (trains my ninja reflexes)
  4. I can now throw shurikens and draw my ninja weapons 1,000 times faster with my Xbox 360 controller then in real life (at least without hurting myself)
  5. Ninja vision! (hums to song – I can see clearly now) With this new Ninja skill, now the weak spots of bosses are easily spotted (no more unecassary deaths guessing). One step closer to becoming a Ninja
Cheers check out the game when it’s out!

How pain can that be?

Seriously, quite hard, considering that I been on the Apple MacOSX platform for the last 2 1/2 years. I have kind of become accustomed to the interface, shortcuts and various other little touches which make the Mac quite comfortable to use.

Windows users would find a little trouble getting used to the setup, especially where the windows key stands, now is a "apple" option key. Alt + F4 no longer closes a window but "apple" + Q does.

Oh did I mention, my MacBook Pro of 2 years 4 months is no longer with me, I’ve sold it off to get the new MacBook Pro, Although I disagree with the Glossy only option available.

Pray everything goes well, if so I should see my new MacBook Pro in about a weeks time. :)

Got to make some new friends at Nokia Zone, it was a pretty interesting time for me as we go to interact with some of the Nokia staff over lunch while at the same time feed my need for new gadgets.

Just recently I’ve been toying with some of the social media sites available, and it’s turning out to be pretty interesting. Seeing how people interact and communicate with each other, social media opens up an whole new experience for online users, blogs were nice, but I guess social media gives "real time" experience sharing increasing interactions between users.

Anyway will touch on that another time. Till Nokia zone is active again, I hope to be more disciplined to share my experiences here.

Signing off

Hmm… I’m excited, a friend told me about a job opening. I wonder if I should send in my resume on this position. It’s an exciting job with a very very exciting company. I’m kind of wondering if this would be a good decision to make. Jumping from my current position to take on a project management role. Hmm… What to do? Someone please let me know.

Yeah this should be quite old news but I’m still with Nokia zone doing up some blogging on mobile devices.

Well lets just say the incentives include testing and playing with the latest handsets from Nokia.

So far I’ve tried the E90, N82, N95 8GB, N78, 6210 Navigator and am currently holding on to the Nokia N96.

So check out my stint at Nokia Zone.

I wonder if I should keep sersitiv.com as a tech site? Perhaps a spin off would be a better idea. Time to go to the drawing board, perhaps a revamp is in the works.

Doing a post using Windows Live Writer, it’s a separate program from the typical writers you get in your web browser, with a more Windows Live interface. I think this is quite a cool application for blogging as it makes things easier. Imagine Microsoft Word meets blogging. Those interested can try it out, just download live messenger and include Microsoft Writer as an add in. BTW this was done totally in Live Writer.

Nice?
