I know it’s time for me to lose some weight, took a look at some pictures which were taken of me some time back and I realised that I indeed had sharper features as compared to this round face. I think it’s about time that I did something.
Strict diets are quite hard considering where I am, working environments are the worst as it “forces” you to engage in nice meals together with colleagues, but I do have to say that I lack discipline when it comes to such issues. I guess it’s all about finding ways and means to do it, exercise is only effective with proper diets. It’s time to go western, wake up early to prepare that sumptious meal, full of good nutrients and keeping me from snacking.

You know everyone says that you just need about 6 hours of sleep to feel energized and recharged to face the day. But I do not feel so, and I think sleep as important as it is must be done right. I just feel so tired every single day now, of course this stems from the stress accumulated from work and other thoughts racing around my mind.
Some times I wonder how will I be able to sleep better? Sleeping pills? Better bed? Food eaten before sleep? I guess a little prayer and meditation would be good food for the soul and would be a good answer for me to put my worries of the day to rest. Well as they say, tomorrow will be a better day. Till then, sleep well and enjoy your day. YAWNS~~~~

Was checking my Google analytics and guess what? I did not have visitors on the 9th if June, which incidentally is my birthday. Hahaha, but it was great this year many people remembered and especially when those that remember are the ones who love you
Back to the report… Do let me know how you would like your Birthday, perhaps I could compile a list of things so that it would be less of a headache when your friends want to find out what to do during that special day.

Ahem… yes it’s that time of the year again, where the ladies will expect some love to be dispatched to them. It’s that time when the guy has to weight various factors before making the ultimate decision to purchase something.
You know how it is when you purchase a really beautiful bouquet of flowers at exorbitant prices and hand it over to your girl, instead of seeing a person full of “love” you sometimes see them express their dissatisfaction of you wasting you money on flowers on this day. The day when flower shops turn into guillotine, hehe … although I did see some online “vendor” market their goods for a great price.
Everything today is over-rated. A meal at a restaurant will set you back at least $50 per person and almost everything romantic will be made expensive on this day. Is this the only day when 2 people can express their love for each other? Why does it have to be this day, so can couples take a break and not love each other on the other days?
Anyway, prices for today are crazy, overheard a guy trying to buy a dozen roses and it would cost him $100 for a dozen. It’s sheer madness I tell you, but if you do not get them at that price, your lady would think you’re stingy. Sigh how hard is it to make someone happy?
Well Happy Valentine’s Day everyone

HDMI cables are so over priced all over, I got a couple over at play-asia.com for quite a good price or I should this so, anyway if you’re interested hop over and grab a few, maybe even buy more and sell em to your friends go a little profit.
I like the deluxe version and find the build quality good, and especially impressive with the mesh layer around the cable.
HDMI Cable Deluxe Type (2 meters / 6.6 ft), 3rd Party US$6.99

I have been selected to take part in the Hardware Zone Nokia Guru program so I get to test out the latest gadgets from Nokia directly. I applaud Nokia for wanting to reach out to the masses. The first phone that I am trying out is the Nokia E90. Sleek and packed with lots of functions. I blog directly at Hardware Zone but do not expect super technical information from me but rather look out for ways to make the most out of this phone. It does not retail cheap but I guess it is really useful for those on the go.

When I thought that it could not drop any further, came along our friendly mobile phone operators who decided to drop the bomb on many one day. Prices dropped from $488 to $388 and now it’s only $88 with a 2 year mobile phone contract!
I’m not sure if this is a good thing as many will start to use this phone and it kind of takes out the way the phone was suppose to be marketed. The E65 is an executive phone meant for Professionals, Managers, Executives & Businessmen, whoring the phone at such a price only makes the phone look cheap, really cheap. Good thing I got mine for $178 if not I’ll feel as if I have just shot myself in the foot. So those who wanna get a great offer head down to your friendly mobile operators and pick up a slick looking Nokia E65 now.
Available at Singtel, Starhub and M1

A friend sent me this nice site about inspirational people who succeeded in life. They never did give up and dared to dream that dream and move ahead taking and sticking to their choice, hoping that one day the world will be moved. Eventually they did and these are little snippets which I guess we can take and use in our lives. Every time I decide that it’s the end, it’s good to have a little mental vitamins to jolt you back up and realise that life is beyond a little failure, a future of success is within reach as long as you persevere on with an unwavering spirit.
Read the little snippets over at this site.

I’m not sure but seriously I’m not optimistic about things anymore, I’ve kind of lost it along the way. I wanna look up and persevere on, most of the time I guess it’s unnecessary stress and pressure I place upon myself. I think it’s about crossing the breaking point, I’m there already and I’m not sure how to move on from here on.
Jump or not to jump?

Tomorrow is the day, I’m not sure anymore, at least not anymore then when I asked for the prospectus. Oh yeah, for those wondering, API is not Application Program Interface, something which I studied for a 1/4 of my life is now going to change and API be to me Asian Pastoral Institute from tomorrow onwards.
Someone did ask me the other day why am I going for API, I really did not have an answer. Perhaps out of pressure or own willfulness I decided to enter the next level of education, the education of spirituality. For whatever it’s worth I think I’ll just pray about it and see how things go tomorrow, perhaps I’m really not ready for the leap of faith. Just thinking about the sheer amount of work I’ll have to complete and making my already busy life busier. I really do need the strength to carry on forward, listening to the lives of others I just wonder why am I placed in such a situation having to carry such a “burden”.
Well let me solve tomorrow’s problems tomorrow, nothing cannot be solved, it’s just a matter of perspective.

Ratatouille Promotional Poster
Today I was at the “Sneak Preview” of Ratatouille with a childhood friend of mine. I decided to catch the show at Cathay Cineleisure cause they were airing the show in digital, the images were suppose to be sharper and more detailed then the conventional film.First of all I want to say the show is great for everyone, food lovers would love it when Remy (The Chef who incidentially is a rat) rattles off the wonderful the names of herbs and foods that get our taste buds working while at the same time introduce the casual diners to the wonderful world of flavour perhaps closing the divide between the two. What stands out in this show is the message on the importance of “understanding” what you eat and as the phrase goes, “you are what you eat” does show through the characters in the show.
As the movie progresses, the show starts to weave the most impossible of stories of how a little rat can become a chef. A nice lesson to take home and perhaps even teach the kids who watch the show is the importance of resilience about how the future is within your graps, believe and have guts to do what you love doing. No one can steal that passion, and in this case is really the passion to become a chef. The rat is only so small but yet he braves the difficulties and eventually “wins” the hearts of his father and the colony of rats which symbolizes to me people who will eventually turn up to help when traveling the tough journey to fulfill that dream and emerge victorious.
Overall I would say this is an interesting concept by Pixar and they have never stopped at exciting movie goes with their various animated films. The minds behind these stories are pure genius and they never stop to put in important life lessons for the young. I’m looking forward to the next animated film by Pixar soon. Oh and for those who do not know, pixar did a hilarious short animation before the start of the film so remember do not be late for your movie!

Recently a Singapore based Anime distributor Odex, started serving “lawyer letters” to Anime downloaders and did so by obtaining the personal information of subscribers on Singnet and Starhub. These two ISPs were served court orders of which they had to cough up the information for Odex.
23rd August 2007, Pacific Internet, a third ISP in Singapore manage to protect their subscribers and won the case preventing their customers information to reach the hands of Odex. Pacific Internet lawyers walked out victorious and Odex was ruled out based on the following.
Only copyright owners - that is, the studios that made the anime - or an ‘exclusive licensee’ for the anime being downloaded, can take legal action under the Singapore Copyright Act.
Odex is a sub-licensee and had letters from rights owners authorising it to take action on their behalf, but the firm was neither a copyright owner or an ‘exclusive licensee’.
An exclusive licensee has the sole right to distribute a product in a certain market.”
So what did the other two ISPs do to protect their customers? Singnet, one of the largest ISPs in Singapore simply could not be bothered and submitted without contest!
He noted that ‘for the SingNet case, the orders were made by consent’.
It was also noted that Singnet lawyers were not present at the hearing.
I mean this goes to show how much your ISP serves you, in fact I do not find broadband prices in Singapore exactly cheap, protecting online privacy is the least your ISP can do for you but this was quite incredible to hear they did not even try to argue. Even Starhub made some arguements in an attempt to protect the interest of their customers.
This is really a PR nightmare, now with such bad press I wonder who wants to sign up with Singnet, who probably just lost customer confidence after this whole saga.
