Today I was in for a shock as I steped in the office, opened my Mac and pulled out my trusty Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and turned it on. It did not detect! Oh my what happed I thought.

Turned out that the batteries, which came with my mouse have finally decided to give up on my and I had a hard time this morning locating batteries. I tried 7-11 and guess what? They were exhorbitantly priced bars of power. So I came back and tried a stationary shop located at level 2 of my office, $3.60 for a pack of 4. I guess that had to do since it’s the cheapest I could find.

Now my mouse if back and probably happy that way or not since I would be click away on it. Moral of the story, keep some spare batteries in the office, you never know when it would come in handy.

BTW, the mouse batteries latested quite a while before dying, I think it’s quite efficient a mouse wonder if I should still consider getting the Mighty Mouse Wireless ($90). Must resist!

I have been selected to take part in the Hardware Zone Nokia Guru program so I get to test out the latest gadgets from Nokia directly. I applaud Nokia for wanting to reach out to the masses. The first phone that I am trying out is the Nokia E90. Sleek and packed with lots of functions. I blog directly at Hardware Zone but do not expect super technical information from me but rather look out for ways to make the most out of this phone. It does not retail cheap but I guess it is really useful for those on the go.

When I thought that it could not drop any further, came along our friendly mobile phone operators who decided to drop the bomb on many one day. Prices dropped from $488 to $388 and now it’s only $88 with a 2 year mobile phone contract!

I’m not sure if this is a good thing as many will start to use this phone and it kind of takes out the way the phone was suppose to be marketed. The E65 is an executive phone meant for Professionals, Managers, Executives & Businessmen, whoring the phone at such a price only makes the phone look cheap, really cheap. Good thing I got mine for $178 if not I’ll feel as if I have just shot myself in the foot. So those who wanna get a great offer head down to your friendly mobile operators and pick up a slick looking Nokia E65 now.

Portable Image Bank

Got this for an uncoming trip, I really do not think 2 gb would be enough storage for my Camera, Nikon D70s, shooting RAW requires massive memory, so I hope the 10gb HDD is sufficient for the trip. Anyway yeah this gadget lets you place a storage media, Compact Flash, SD, MMC etc and copy them into the Hard Disk within the enclosure. Battery lasts for about 2 hours and it should be more then enough to fill a few CF cards before running out.

I got this at SGD $49 in Sim Lim Square. I’ll let you guys know if it came in handy for my trip, of course I hope I will find the time to post some photos espicially when I tell you guys that I do photography as well.
